Mallie earned her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her MAT in Art Education from Tufts University/SMFA. Her work is in private and corporate collections throughout the country. She has exhibited at Montserrat College of Art, the RISD Museum, Gallery NAGA, Artemis Gallery, and numerous other galleries throughout New England. She taught studio art in independent schools and museum settings for ten years and ran the Bertolon Gallery at Pingree School. Mallie co-runs a studio collective in Ipswich, MA where she also organizes curatorial projects and teaches workshops.
Mallie’s work focuses on the ever-changing relationship between individuals and the natural world. With a background in both two dimensional and three dimensional art media as well as landscape architecture, Mallie’s paintings deliver a sense of immersion in the landscape and an ever-present shift in perspective.
